Robert Lanz translates his artistic analysis of natural sciences from chemistry to paranormology and their opposite poles such as faith and spirituality by using various painting techniques. In addition he finds the convergence to his themes in the mythology.
His work consists of several levels and show simultaneously compression and resolution, proximity and distance or the microcosm in the macrocosm.
The paintings overwhelm with their colour opulence and seduce the viewer to linger and leave him unsatisfied and let him move on unanswered. Sacrality is the source of his subjects and often they are even politically motivated.
With an alchemical working method Lanz tries to initiate an aesthetic experience. By mixing different painting materials such as ink, shellac, oil and / or egg tempera and bitumen, atmospheric spaces in the image seem to appear.
In principle the working method of Robert Lanz goes through a thematic change almost every six months.
